My wife’s life can be saved with your help…

Today is Saturday, February 16, 2016.  We live each day on God’s grace…some would call it living on faith.  Times are very hard right now, but we are still greatly blessed.  My wife and I have been married for 38 years, but unfortunately, 26 years ago she became very ill with Type 1 Insulin Dependent Diabetes, Gastroparesis, Glaucoma, and a host of other complications that make just staying alive each day a challenge.  I worked full time for 43 years, but had to quit my job because I can no longer leave my wife at home alone for more than a few hours because her health is too unstable.  She could easily die without me at home to help her.  This means it is nearly impossible to earn any steady income at a normal job.  If you know of a job I can do totally from home, please let me know.  I can also work at a job close to home if I stay within a five minute drive of our home and can call to check on her ever few hours.  (I live in Houston, Texas 77084 near the intersection of FM 529 and Barker-Cypress.)  Please contact me at: 281-463-1302 or by Email: SavingMyPenny@att.net

At this time still we have several urgent needs, most of which are funds to pay for medicine, doctors, utilities and just day to day living expenses.  We currently have disconnect notices on our electricity and water.

If you are unable to donate funds, below is a list of other things which we could use to help us get through each day, and make life more bearable on my wife.  Please contact me at: 281-463-1302 or by Email: SavingMyPenny@att.net

Things most needed:

#1  Please pray for us.  We have seen many answers to prayer.

#2  I need a legit job I can earn a steady income with at home, possibly with my computer.  I have 43 years experience in the printing trade.  I get along with other great with others, and follow instructions well.  I have a high mechanical aptitude, and am willing to do many different jobs if needed…just give me the work and I will do it.  I know how to stay busy without being told.

#3  Kroger gift cards in any amount to pay for non-food items and prescriptions.  We have food stamps for food, but we also need non-food items like cleaning supplies to keep the house germ free.  We can also buy gas with this card.

#4  Wal-Mart gift cards in any amount to pay for non-food items, medical supplies and prescriptions

#5  Smoke detector (wired type for connecting to house wiring)

Other items that would be of great help are:

#6  Someone with a heavy duty mower capable of cutting brush which has overgrown in our back yard for a year or more.  We live on the west side of Houston Texas.

#7  Any used working Smart Phone with a good camera.  This is needed to send photos of receipts and documents.  The phone part does not need to work, just the Wi-Fi connection to connect to the internet.

#8  Windows 7 software with key.  Any legal version of Windows 7 that can be registered and used to upgrade from Vista, which no longer supported and is causing major problems on our computer.

#9  Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Bags – Size “A”.  We are totally out and must keep the house very clean and germ free.

#10  Insulation for our attic and weatherproofing of our home.  One company volunteered to do it, started, but never completed the work.

#11 Installation of an insulated double pane window in our bathroom.  Our bathroom is always either the coldest or hottest room in our house all the time depending on the season, and temperature changes make my wife more ill.

#12  A very clean two-drawer legal file cabinet with hanging file folders.. This is for filing and organizing hundreds of medical papers we must deal with daily.  It must complete smoke free and very clean because our house must stay clean due to my wife’s weak immune system.  Dirt and germs can make her deathly ill.

#13  Our home is in need of major repairs.  Our subdivision requires that we repair siding on our home or we could be sued and lose our home.  We need donations of nails, paint and forty sheets of 4′ x 8 ‘ Hardi-board.  Inside the house also needs numerous plumbing repairs, mainly in the bathroom.

#14  120 square feet of tar paper, shingles(any type) and nails for roof repair.

We find that the tougher times get, the stronger our faith.  Many of our prayers have been answered since I updated this site a year ago.  For a short time we had insurance, but we lost it before I was able to take my wife to several doctors to get medicine for her many illnesses.  We had no car to drive for several years, and someone donated one to us a few months ago.  There are many other blessings God has supplied through many people.  You can read more about the way God has blessed us in my 23 part video book series I made called, “Minor Miracles”.  You can listen to for free at my You Tube web site:

Below are more details below on my wife illnesses.

Penny is my wife of 38 years whom I love with all my heart.  25 years ago she suddenly became very ill with Type 1 Insulin Dependent “Brittle” Diabetes and Glaucoma, and our  insurance  company immediately cancelled us.  With no consistent health care for years, her immune system became very weak and she developed numerous other complications.  Some are Gastroparesis, Glaucoma, Raynaud’s Syndrome, Chronic Urticaria and others.  For 6 years, from 2008 till 2014 she was without any doctor care and most of her medications.  To keep her alive I bought Insulin from individuals on Craigslist.  With her blood sugars ranging from 35 to 589, her health has become so bad that I closed my company to stay at home with her to keep her from dying.  She ran out of Glaucoma medication for 2 months, and permanently lost part of her eyesight.  We have Obamacare, a.k.a  “Affordable Health Care”, but the deductibles are so high we could only recently use it.  On January 1st, 2016 the premium increased over 1100% from $26 to $297 and we lost our insurance.  I continue to look for work I can do at home to earn a living, but have found none.  Please contact me 24/7 at the following address if your have any questions.  SavingMyPenny@att.net

Thank you.  God bless.
